Dear Brothers and Friends:
On this Centennial Anniversary, I extend to each and
every one of you a hearty welcome and invite you to
join with me to make this occasion one that will
always be remembered.
We are grateful to the committee which planned this
delightful birthday party for us. and the hest way
to thank them for their effort is to enter into the
spirit of the occasion in joyful participation.
I feel it is a high honor to have been chosen Master
of McHenry Lodge No. 158 A.F. & A.M. for the 100th
year of its successful endeavors, and while serving
in this capacity, my only desire is to carry on the
work of my able predecessors and founders of this
noble and glorious organization, which teaches
friendship, morality and brotherly love.
And, to you, my neighbors and friends, I give
assurance that this organization will always carry
on in a manner which will make you happy and proud
to have us as a part of the community in which you
live.
I would like to extend to the McHenry Chapter of the
Order of Eastern Star deep gratitude from the
brothers of McHenry Lodge 158 A.F. & A.M. for the
kind and willing co-operation and assistance so
graciously displayed in the building and maintaining
of our Masonic Temple. This temple, we hope,
will always be a guiding light in the community.
As time passes on, let us together continue to
direct our acts and deeds so that we may find peace,
health and happiness: that our thoughts may be void
of the vices and superfluities of life, thereby
fitting our minds as living stones for that
spiritual building, that house not made with hands,
eternal in the heavens.
